Position Overview:
As an Occupational Therapist at Millrose Therapy, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact in children’s lives by helping them develop key skills in a warm and supportive environment. Working closely with families and our dedicated team, you’ll create personalized treatment plans that encourage growth, independence, and confidence, making therapy an enjoyable and rewarding experience for every child.
Occupational Therapist Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Warm, Comprehensive Evaluations: Get to know each child through thoughtful assessments to identify their unique developmental, sensory, motor, and cognitive needs, creating personalized therapy plans that feel supportive and individualized.
- Offer Fun, Engaging Patient Led Therapy Sessions: Provide hands-on therapy in a playful, child-centered way, helping children improve fine motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and self-care tasks while making therapy a positive experience.
- Build Strong Partnerships with Families and Caregivers: Work closely with parents, caregivers, and educators to ensure everyone is on the same page and offer guidance on how to carry therapeutic strategies into daily life at home and school.
- Create Meaningful, Play-Based Interventions: Develop and use creative, fun, and age-appropriate activities that capture children’s interest, helping them build essential skills while making progress in a natural and enjoyable way.
- Celebrate Progress and Adjust as Needed: Regularly check in on each child’s progress, making adjustments to their therapy plan as needed to ensure they continue to grow and reach their goals with confidence.
- Support and Educate Families: Provide helpful advice and support to families on developmental milestones, techniques for enhancing everyday routines, and ideas for creating a supportive home environment that encourages growth.
Hours of Operation:
- Our operating hours are from 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM Monday - Friday, with Fridays being half days depending on schedule.
