Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, ensuring smooth shift transitions, and maintaining high service standards
- Support staff training and development to uphold food safety, hygiene, and customer service excellence
- Oversee food preparation and food handling processes to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Supervise kitchen activities, including food production, cooking procedures, and ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty
- Assist in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and implementing strategies to maximize restaurant profitability
- Support catering events or banquet services as needed to diversify revenue streams
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management; casual dining or fine dining experience is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficient cash handling skills
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety standards (including HACCP principles)
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate teams effectively
- Exceptional customer service orientation with strong communication skills
- Ability to manage shift schedules, oversee food production, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience in managing hospitality teams, including interviewing and staff development processes
- Familiarity with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and operational planning within a restaurant setting
- Hospitality management background with experience in managing food service operations or catering services is preferred
