Line Cook
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at our restaurant White Buffalo and in-house catering operation located in Chipeta Lodge Resort + Spa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working collaboratively with the culinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for the menu.
- Ensure that food is cooked and presented in an appealing and timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team and front-of-house staff.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Adapt to changing menus and seasonal ingredients.
- Handle and store food properly to minimize waste.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
$18-$22/hourly
