Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing daily lesson plans that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for children
- Engage children through age-appropriate activities that promote exploration, creativity, and learning
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document each child's progress and behavior
- Support children with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving needs in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's day-to-day experiences and developmental milestones
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and nurturing qualities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of toddlers and the classroom setting
