Responsibilities
- Manage daily salon operations, including scheduling, staffing and inventory control to ensure smooth workflow.
- Lead recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, supervising employee orientation and onboarding new team members.
- Encourage and provide ongoing training and development to enhance team skills in customer service, retail sales, and technical services.
- Oversee retail sales, merchandising and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.
- Over see payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling and POS (Point of Sale) system management with accuracy.
- Maintain inventory management through stock purchasing, inventory control, and monitoring product levels.
- Cultivate a positive work environment by promoting communication skills, teamwork, and leadership development.
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing customers through promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards while delivering exceptional customer service in a professional manner.
- Support new owners in propelling salon forward with world class customer experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years management experience.
- Proven management experience in a retail or service environment, preferably within the beauty.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with strong leadership skills in team management and employee development.
- Hands on experience with Meevo Software (previously Millennium) a must.
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS technology is highly desirable.
- Professional presentation and communication skills are required.
- Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing, training staff, and managing budgets will set you up for success.
