American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring prior travel experience and a SC or compact RN license in hand.

Work in the MS/Tele unit of a short term acute care hospital with 97 staffed beds
-
Patient ratios of 1:6-1:7
-
Night shift 4x12 hours (7p-7a); 3x12 schedules also accepted
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
No on-call responsibilities

Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities

Uses Epic charting system
-
Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Med/Surg experience required
-
Telemetry experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, preferred
-
Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

SSN and driver's license required for consideration
-
Virtual interview required for all candidates, with the Nursing Director reaching out within 24-48 hours of profile submission

Must complete all assigned training modules prior to start, with access typically available the Wednesday before start date

Attendance at staff meetings is required

Royal Blue scrub color required

Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius, though non-local candidates are prioritized

Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Block scheduling accommodation may be requested but is not guaranteed

During hurricane season (June-November), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams
