Hours per week: 24-28
Weekend rotation: rotating weekends as assigned
On Call: no on call requirements
Compensation:
Pay rate: 50.00 per hour + weekend differential
Position Summary:
Wesley Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in St. Paul. MN. In this role, you will deliver exceptional care at 3 Governmental Correctional facilities, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient health and safety goals. This is a float position that will rotate between Adult Corrections, Juvenile, and Post Sentencing units as assigned, based on census and staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates in various settings, including intake, sick call, emergency in= housing, chronic care clinics.
- Perform assessments of both normal and abnormal adult and juvenile health status, communicate findings, identify inmate needs, make timely referrals, and initiate care in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Provide inmate education and practice infection control and prevention
Qualifications:
- State of MN unrestricted RN license
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- 1+ years of recent correctional, emergency room, inpatient, or mental health RN experience required
- Ability to work independently
