Highly attentive, safety-conscious, responsible, and responsive CDL A drivers are essential to the operation of Ed Yamashiro Inc. We are looking for drivers with the skills necessary to successfully haul heavy equipment and/or fuel with a high level of accuracy and safety awareness.
Responsibilities:
Daily
- Conduct accurate pre-trip and post-trip checks on trailers to guarantee safety and cleanliness
- Reliably set-up and wrap-up product for safe transportation
- Promptly listen and respond to calls from dispatch and supervisors
- Safely transport tender from origin to destination
- Ensure proper documentation and sign offs are completed for deliveries
- General maintenance on equipment
As Needed
- Attend trainings pertinent to safety and transportation duties (DIP class, Hazmat, etc.)
- Other job-related tasks
Required Skills/Abilities/Documentation:
- Valid and current U.S. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A)
- Current state issued motor vehicle report reviewing driver’s history
- Minimum one year of current and verifiable experience of driving like vehicles
- Excellent communication skills between fellow drivers, dispatch office, and customers
- Detail oriented to ensure the correct tender is being loaded, the correct placards are displayed, all needed paperwork are accurately filled and present
- Safety conscious, vigilantly attentive of preventing safety hazards to self and community
- Maintain excellent customer service and rapport with customers and internal team by providing accurate and honest information
- Must be able to lift at minimum 50 pounds
- Legible handwriting
Preferred Skills/Abilities/Documentation:
- Current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
- CDL Hazmat endorsement
- Previous experience using forklifts, and other heavy equipment (e.g. tractors, trailers, lowboys, etc.)

Pay: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
