- Memory care & dementia communities
- Assisted living & independent living
- Rehabilitation hospitals
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Neurological & mobility-impaired populations

Our proprietary programs, SEATED RHYTHM™ and TAP TIME™, integrate movement, rhythm, cognition, music, and social connection into one engaging experience.

This role is especially well suited for individuals with backgrounds in:
- Exercise Science
- Kinesiology
- Fitness instruction
- Dance or movement education
- Occupational Therapy (OT/OTA)
- Physical Therapy (PT/PTA)
- Recreation Therapy
- Adaptive fitness or senior wellness
- Healthcare or therapeutic recreation
What You’ll Do
- Learn and facilitate Cognova’s proprietary programs (Cognova Certified Instructor Training provided)
- Lead engaging, music-based brain-body wellness experiences
- Foster meaningful connection with residents, participants, families, and staff
- Adapt movement for varying cognitive and physical abilities
- Represent Cognova with professionalism, warmth, and integrity
- Help create moments of joy, confidence, participation, and belonging
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in wellness, movement, healthcare, fitness, dance, education, recreation therapy, or related fields
- Group facilitation or teaching experience preferred
- Nationally recognized fitness certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- CPR/AED Certification preferred
- Experience working with older adults, neurological conditions, rehabilitation, or adaptive populations is a plus
- Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Therapy, or related field preferred but not required
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time: Approximately 2–5 hours per week
- Flexible daytime schedule
- In-person at local senior living and healthcare communities
- Consistent weekly classes
- Certification training provided
