A warm, thoughtful family in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is seeking an experienced, nurturing part time nanny for their two young boys, ages 3 and 1. This is a consistent, ongoing position beginning now and continuing long term, with mornings scheduled 2 to 3 days per week. The family follows a Waldorf inspired, play based philosophy and is looking for a candidate who brings genuine developmental expertise to the role rather than simply supervising.
Schedule
Mornings, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 2 to 3 days per week. Specific days are flexible right now while the family finalizes preschool plans for their oldest son. An additional hour may be requested during quiet time or naps to support light house manager tasks.
Start Date: As soon as possible, but can wait for the right person
The Children
Two boys, ages 3 and 1. The older child is cautious, observant, and slow to warm up, and needs a nanny who is patient and consistent while he builds trust. The younger child is playful, curious, and social, currently navigating a stranger danger phase, and needs a nanny who is warm, attentive, and comfortable easing him into connection.
Daily Responsibilities
- Engage both children in developmentally enriching, play based activities appropriate to their ages
- Support a Waldorf inspired approach that includes some structured instruction alongside independent play
- Maintain the family's existing schedule and routines
- Provide honest, observation based feedback to parents
- Assist with light house manager tasks during quiet time or naps, such as dishes, tidying, and meal preparation
What This Family Is Looking For
- Reliable, warm, inviting, and nurturing, with the ability to build genuine rapport with young children
- A degree or professional background in early childhood education, child psychology, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, child life, or a pediatric track in medical or nursing school
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Cat owners welcome with a commitment to freshly laundered clothing due to a mild allergy in the home
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience
- Paid as a W2 household employee
- 3 to 6 sick days per year

- Current First Aid and CPR
- Up to date vaccinations
- Non-Smoker
- Minimum 3* years of _professional *_childcare/nannying experience
- Strong understanding of DAP and play based learning
- Willing to undergo a background check and screening process
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
