The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) is seeking two faculty or support staff members to serve as DEIB Building Leaders. This role is a two-year appointment from August 27, 2026, through June 16, 2028. Position OverviewThe DEIB Building Leaders will collaborate with Dan, Olive, Langdon, and Andrew Nyamekye to plan, support, and promote DEIB initiatives and programming at CMS. The DEIB Building Leaders will help ensure that evidence-based DEIB practices are promoted to foster a greater sense of belonging among students and staff and advance a more equitable and inclusive school culture at CMS.

The statement should highlight relevant professional learning in cultural competency, anti-bias, anti-racist, or DEIB practices, as well as any related leadership experience.Term, Compensation, and Time CommitmentTerm: Two years, with an opportunity to extend the appointment beyond the initial two-year term.Stipend: $3,495 per year, paid evenly throughout the 20262027 school year.Time Commitment: Approximately 36 hours per month.QualificationsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and students across diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.Ability to facilitate courageous conversations about unconscious (implicit) bias, microaggressions, and other social justice-related topics.Professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and welcoming school community.
