Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely deliveries across multiple states.
- Handle various types of freight, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized cargo.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary, following safety protocols.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption.
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards during every trip.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the freight type (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods regulations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is preferred.
- Strong safety record with a focus on truck loading/unloading procedures and manual handling safety practices.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route planning, and efficient delivery execution.

Pay: $1.20 - $2.20 per mile
