Job Title: Class B CDL Dump Truck Driver (Construction)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Class B CDL Driver with a minimum of 5 years of dump truck experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have proven experience safely hauling materials, operating around active job sites, and securing heavy equipment using proper chain-down and tie-down procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class B dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport construction materials such as dirt, gravel, asphalt, and debris
- Perform proper equipment chain-down and securement in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
- Load and unload materials at job sites, plants, and designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required logs and reports
- Work safely around heavy equipment, crews, and active construction zones
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Class B CDL
- Minimum of 5 years of dump truck driving experience in the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience with equipment chain-down and load securement
- Clean driving record preferred
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to work long hours, early mornings, and overtime as needed
- Ability to climb, lift chains, and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience hauling heavy equipment or lowboy trailers
- Familiarity with local job sites, plants, and haul routes
- OSHA or construction safety training
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and handle heavy chains and binders
- Frequent climbing in and out of trucks and equipment
