Advantes Property Management is looking for an experienced, dependable Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. We manage five historic apartment communities in Laclede's Landing and one apartment community in Maplewood.
Live-On-Site Requirement
Because this position supports our evening operations and short-term rental guest services, the successful candidate must reside in one of our apartment communities in Laclede's Landing. A discounted apartment is available for qualified employees as part of the compensation package.
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Complete residential maintenance work orders promptly and professionally.
- Perform plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliance, and general building repairs.
- Complete apartment unit turnovers and prepare vacant units for new residents.
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the properties.
- Coordinate daily priorities with the property management team.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Short-Term Rental Guest Services
In addition to apartment maintenance, this position supports our growing short-term rental operations by providing excellent customer service and timely assistance to guests.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond to lockouts, building and parking access issues.
- Troubleshoot minor maintenance concerns during guest stays.
- Assist guests with televisions, Wi-Fi, thermostats, appliances, and other in-unit amenities.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and hospitality-focused attitude while interacting with guests.
- Respond promptly to evening guest requests to help ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in apartment, residential, commercial, hotel, or commercial building maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.
- Comfortable interacting with residents and short-term rental guests in a professional manner.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be willing to live in one of our Laclede's Landing apartment communities.
