Position Summary
We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Janitors to serve at Elk Rapids Schools. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Available Shifts
We are currently hiring for:
- Morning Shift (During school hours)
- Evening Shift (After school hours)
Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process. Candidates must be reliable and available for their assigned shift consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and scheduled cleaning tasks in classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to company standards
- Ensure restrooms are fully sanitized and stocked with necessary supplies
- Empty trash and recycling and manage waste disposal properly
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies; report shortages promptly
- Support floor care and periodic deep cleaning projects as needed
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals according to safety guidelines
- Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and C&C Cleaning Services protocols
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and school personnel
- Represent C&C Cleaning Services with professionalism and integrity
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently
- Understanding of safety practices related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks
- Ability to work in a school environment during assigned hours
