Full-time Hazardous Waste Technician at E.T. Technologies, Inc. in Parker (Denver)

- 1-3 years’ experience in an environmental-related field or with regulated and hazardous waste handling and disposal is preferred.
Job description
The waste technician is a full-time hourly position that supports both environmental remediation and fuel system projects.
The position entails being able to complete many basic waste handling and transportation tasks, including transporting, handling, and processing of solid and liquid waste products The position will also perform tank, vessel, and RV clearing tasks that may involve confined space entry, hazardous and biological material handling, and level C PPE (respirator/tyvek/gloves).

The Waste Handler will report to the Environmental-Waste Lead, who will coordinate activities with the main office. This is a field position and will be based in Parker, Co while travelling to various job sites, in and around the Front Range.
Limited overnight travel may be required to support certain clients.
Job responsibilities & requirements:
- Client interaction
- Handling and preparing waste for transport or disposal
- Environmental sampling of waste streams, solids (soils), and monitoring wells
- Coordination of subcontractors
- Other general labor tasks as assigned
- Able to use job and task tracking apps on a smart phone
- Preparation and planning to aid remediation projects
- Any experience in underground storage tank regulations is a plus
- Applicants must be highly attentive to details and possess excellent customer service and communication skills
- Move, transfer, load drums and waste containers utilizing safe methods (e.g. mechanical devices –drum dollies, forklifts, machines with forks).
- CDL-A required
- Sampling credentials, preferred
- Prepare daily job logs in accordance with the level of standard/quality expected by the company
- Perform and record inspections of all equipment and tools to be used
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with wearing respirator and tyvek (level C)
- Safely operate vehicles and tow trailers
- Confirm waste shipping documents are correct and in possession while transporting waste containers
- Understand basic rules regarding waste shipping and maintain those rules while handling, transporting
- HAZWOPER required
