Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant – Part-Time to support our HR department in managing various personnel functions. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to workforce management, employee engagement, and compliance initiatives within a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and familiarity with HR systems and legal requirements.
Duties
- Assist with talent acquisition processes, including HR sourcing, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo or Lever.
- Support onboarding and employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
- Maintain employee records accurately within HR information systems (HRIS) like Kronos or UltiPro, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards.
- Aid in benefits administration tasks, including enrollment, documentation, and responding to employee inquiries related to benefits plans.
- Contribute to performance management initiatives by collecting data for employee evaluations and supporting training & development activities.
- Help ensure regulatory compliance by assisting with documentation related to employment law, OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Support project management efforts related to HR initiatives such as affirmative action planning, succession planning, and organization design.
- Prepare reports and analyze data using Excel for workforce metrics, payroll processing support via Paychex or SAP SuccessFactors, and other HR analytics.
Experience
- Previous experience in an HR department or administrative role supporting human resources functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft, or Kronos is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law, HR legal compliance standards, and OSHA regulations is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel—for data entry and analysis tasks.
- Experience with recruiting tools like ATS platforms (e.g., Taleo, Lever) and payroll systems such as Paychex or UltiPro will be advantageous.
