Machine Operator – Rockwood, TN (1st Shift 6am-6pm M-F)

Job Description Summary
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Sets stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates
- Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
- Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances assuring product meets quality requirements
- Performs routine machine maintenance
- Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
- Makes sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area, (Example Sweeping and shoveling debris.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Requirements
- NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
- Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers is helpful, but not needed.
- Knows the basics of hydraulics, electricity, and tools is helpful, but not needed
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours
- Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 to 80 lbs.

- NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO HEATER, DUSTY.
- Hard Hat, Steel Boots, Safety Glasses
