Job Description
S.A. Milligan Co. is a wholesaler of spices and industrial food broker located in Sumner, WA. We specialize in the blending and custom packaging of spice products for various clients in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
We are looking to hire a Full-Time Production Manager to organize and lead the fulfillment of orders as well as ensure that good food safety practices are used at all times.
Hours:40 Hrs/week
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute daily production schedule to maximize efficiency
- Lead and maintain production staff thru quality training, timely communication and assistance
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are used at all times during production to meet company HACCP/SQF standards
- Audit all outgoing orders to ensure accuracy before shipment
- Create weekly blending schedule to ensure appropriate inventory levels are met
- Conduct periodic inventory checks of bulk product and supplies
- Place packaging supplies orders
- Assist with incoming/outgoing freight procedure including forklift operation
- Rotate bulk stock as needed to maximize warehouse storage
- Pull product and palletize weekly orders as needed
- Assist in production (packaging) as needed
Experience:
- Recommended: 1 or more years experience managing production in a warehouse environment, preferably within the food industry.
Skills:
- Recommended: Organized individual adept at planning and scheduling. Certified to operate a forklift and/or other machinery. Ability to lift and stack 50+ pounds repeatedly. Prior food safety training and/or food production experience highly recommended. Bilingual Spanish and English ability highly recommended.
