Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
Why you’ll love this position: We manage the financial transactions related to afterschool programs, child care relief funds, the First Steps Program, and the Safe Cribs for Missouri Program. We also work with professionals and contractors to navigate through any invoice and payment discrepancies.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
What you’ll do:
- Process invoices for payment.
- Ensure proper coding is applied to payment documents.
- Track expenditures across various funding sources.
- Educate staff on DESE financial policies and procedures for payments and expenditures.
- Reconcile monthly and/or quarterly all OOC expenditures.
- Provide technical assistance to contractors regarding financial issues.
- Assist in the review and approval of budgets and payments submitted through ePeGS and PM System.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful relevant work experience in finance, accounting, grants management, and/or other related administrative duties and possession of a high school diploma or equivalency.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
