Salary & Compensation

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications
- Working knowledge and practice of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA (Required)
- Working knowledge of principles of 4-handed dentistry, dental terminology, materials, equipment and procedures related to dentistry. (Required)
- Working knowledge of principles of infection control, and sterilization procedures. (Required)
- Ability to work with infectious diseased patients. (Required)
- Ability to recognize an emergency situation and respond appropriately. (Required)
- Demonstrate English writing skills to write accurate and legible entries in patient dental records. (Required)
- Excellent written, verbal communication and customer service skills to collect and relate information to diverse patients, staff and faculty of all levels. (Required)
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing. (Required)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy to maintain an inventory of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies in the working operatories. (Required)
- Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload, frequent interruptions and ability to set priorities to reflect relative importance of job responsibility. (Required)
- Demonstrated skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty members, co-workers, patients and the public. (Required)
- Skills to effectively utilize Dentrix computerized scheduling and billing system. (Preferred)

- Registered Dental Assistant, State of California Current (Required)
- California Radiology Certificate Current (Required)
- Coronal Polishing Certificate Current (Required)
