Position Overview
We are seeking an independent, organized, and dependable Bookkeeper to manage financial records and process payroll. You will support our diverse mix of small-business clients and individual personal accounts in the North Georgia area. This role focuses on accurate, day-to-day record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- General Accounting: Manage bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger entries for businesses and select personal accounts.
- Payroll Processing: Run regular payrolls, verify timesheets, and track deductions for client employees.
- Payroll Reporting: Help prepare quarterly payroll reports and assist with year-end W-2 and 1099 distribution.
- Financial Prep: Keep clean, accurate books to ensure client accounts are ready for year-end review.
- Client Communication: Serve as a reliable point of contact for personal and business client questions about invoices, transactions, and payroll.
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, including processing payroll.
- Education: High school diploma or associate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
- Software: Practical experience using QuickBooks Online or similar standard accounting platforms.
- Competencies: Strong data entry accuracy, reliable organization, and respect for confidential personal and business data.
