Requirements
- 3 years non-production welding experience preferred
- Proficient in material preparation, setting and operating MIG welder. TIG welding, brazing experience a plus.
- Proficient in welding a variety of materials, both thick and thin gauge.
- Understanding of basic shop math; read and understand basic shop drawings
- Knowledgeable in the use and operation of hand power tools, chop saw/bandsaw, hand grinder, and other related shop tools
- Knowledge of proper maintenance of welding equipment
- Proficient in independently building/designing welding jigs and fixtures
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work long periods of time in a standing position
- Brake Press or Fabrication experience a plus
Responsibilities Include:
- Obtaining weldment components for the work area, layout weldments, tack weld, verify to print, weld out assemblies.
- Performing preventive maintenance on welders, tools, and compressed air equipment.
- Performing maintenance, repairs or component installation on various shop equipment.
- Bolting, clamping, and welding together metal components of products such as piping systems, plate, pipe and tube or structural shapes, using arc and arc gas welding equipment.
- Welding in a variety of physical positions such as flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position.
- Tack welding assemblies together.
- Keeping a clean, organized workspace.
- Loading and unloading material from deliveries, as needed.
Additional Potential Opportunities:
- Operation of bandsaw, brake press, or waterjet as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
