Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Operate cash registers, process cash transactions, handle credit card payments, and manage retail sales transactions with precision.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food preparation and handling.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment, adhering to sanitation and food safety protocols.
- Manage food service customer orders efficiently from start to finish while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly to support food preparation activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations across all areas of the restaurant or café.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants preferred; food industry or café experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering experience is highly desirable.
- Strong food handling skills with knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety management.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Retail sales or grocery store experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Food preparation knowledge combined with culinary experience enhances your ability to contribute effectively to team goals.
