PSI Power, Inc., the manufacturers of Ag Diesel Solutions Performance Modules, aFe Scorcher Series, and other low volume specialized electronics for the automotive and agricultural industries located in Newburgh, Indiana is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Engineer to drive projects from concept to production, ensuring products meet or exceed customer needs and expectations.
Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of new products, as well as modifying the design of existing products. This includes but is not limited to: write, edit and troubleshoot code; PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and/or finished products, performance testing, working on vehicles, sourcing of parts and final approval for release. May include some travel and performance testing.
· Lead projects through effective decision making.
· Design and implement analog and digital circuitry and microprocessor programming.
· Test and troubleshoot prototype boards and programming in the lab and field.
· Work with production dept. to develop quality testing protocols and programs.
· Communicate and work together with other engineers and team members.
· Make changes to current production PCBAs as needed to meet quality and/or customer needs.
· Manage multiple projects and switch tasks as priorities change.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of automotive mechanics and design elements highly preferred.
· Ability to draft and present automotive component designs, read and interpret drawings and communicate design requirements.
· Good communication skills, written and verbal.
· Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for automotive components with relation to design.
· Experience with Eagle and Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to work independently, collaborate with project teams to completion, and communicate status of assignments as required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Degrees preferred are BS in Electrical Engineering or BS in Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Digital and analog circuit design.
- PCB design/layout.
- Microprocessor programming.
- Altera FPGA experience and Labview programming experience a plus.
- Occasional travel required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
