Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact or state RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Work in the LDRPN unit of a hospital setting providing care to expectant mothers and newborns
Monitor maternal/fetal vital signs, manage pain including epidurals, and assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries
Educate families on postpartum recovery and coordinate discharge planning
Day shift schedule from 06:30 to 19:00
13-week assignment length
Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts as needed per department needs
Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs

Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
Implement and monitor patient care plans, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
Work in a fast-paced, stressful environment requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision
Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
