Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to ensure peak performance.
- Install new HVAC equipment following design specifications and industry standards while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of ammonia refrigeration units where applicable.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
Requirements
- 3-5 years proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
- Construction experience or familiarity with property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge including boiler operation, appliance repair, welding skills, and equipment repair techniques.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret HVAC design plans effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and field service experience in commercial or industrial settings is a plus.
- Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; experience with plumbing is advantageous.
