About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Professional to ensure the optimal functionality and safety of our facility. In this role, you'll apply your expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems to proactively maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your proficiency in reading blueprints and your collaborative spirit will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on facility equipment, documenting all work performed within the CMMS system.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including low voltage electrical (up to 240V), PLCs, gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Operate forklifts, loaders, and aerial lifts to transport materials and equipment to designated locations.
- Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and FSSC 22000, implementing relevant policies and procedures.
- Utilize standard maintenance tools, including power tools, hand tools, and precision maintenance tools, to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, with Trade School Certificate (or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a food manufacturing or industrial facility.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment.
- Maintenance/Industrial certification required.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Welding experience, particularly for repair and fabrication.
- Class II Stationary Engineering License.
- Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and controls.
