Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, dirty sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, sanitation, and equipment upkeep
- Manage cash handling duties efficiently, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change
- Follow food safety protocols during food preparation and beverage service to ensure quality standards are met
- Support team members with food preparation tasks when needed and assist in maintaining a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly in a fast-paced setting, and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with beverage service, drink preparation, and non-alcoholic beverage crafting is desirable
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning routines and food preparation processes
