Job Title: Bilingual Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Discount Appliances

We are a growing discount appliance retail store located in Indio, CA, specializing in high-quality, open-box, and "scratch and dent" household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, and more). We offer major brands at unbeatable prices, helping local families find the best value for their homes.
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-oriented Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team and help us grow the business!
What We Offer:
Pay: $17.00 per hour plus monthly performance bonuses
Earn More: Opportunity to earn 1% to 2%+ in monthly commissions based on total store sales milestones. The more the store grows, the more you make!
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible weekend/weekday shifts (to be discussed)
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales: Greet and assist customers walking into the store. Listen to their needs, explain the value and savings of our open-box/scratch-and-dent inventory, and guide them through the purchasing process.
Bilingual Communication: Answer questions, close sales, and handle inquiries comfortably in both English and Spanish to serve our diverse local community.
Inventory & Store Upkeep: Keep the showroom organized, clean, and well-priced.
Physical Work (Merchandise Handling): Assist in moving, rearranging, and loading/unloading heavy household appliances on the showroom floor (dollies and equipment will be provided).
Basic Sales & Position Requirements:
Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming, positive attitude. Ability to address customer concerns regarding minor cosmetic damages (scratches/dents) and build trust.
Sales Drive: A proactive mindset to engage with customers and a strong desire to meet sales goals.
Reliability & Punctuality: Honest, dependable, and committed to showing up for scheduled shifts on time.
Willingness to Learn: Quick to learn basic appliance specifications (dimensions, capacity, power requirements) to better assist customers.
Qualifications:
Language: Fluent in both English and Spanish (Required).
Physical Capability: Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move heavy appliances with the assistance of store equipment.
Experience: Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a great work ethic!
