We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Associate to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. The Resident Care Associate will provide direct care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a respectful and professional manner.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance and support to residents as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Support residents during meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Follow care plans and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, therapists, and other team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- PCA /Direct Care certification
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents and team members.
- Basic knowledge of resident care and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and assist residents as required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
This position is based in a residential care facility in Fredericksburg, VA. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and assisting residents with mobility. The Resident Care Associate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
