Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and energetic Caregiver to join our team in on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This vital role involves providing exceptional in-home support to clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring memory or hospice care. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient observations and report any changes in condition using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or Medical Documentation tools
- Support clients with medication administration, including reminders and proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and vital signs monitors with proper safety protocols
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Document all care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA standards
Experience
- Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home health or assisted living settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care practices is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with long-term care environments such as nursing homes or hospice settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems for documentation purposes
- CPR certification and training in hospice or palliative care are desirable but not required; training can be provided if necessary
- Strong patient observation skills combined with compassion and patience to deliver personalized care
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and safety procedures
