Role
Technician. Bring capable, timely skills and a great attitude to all tasks. Work with physical devices and radio systems, help customers troubleshoot over the phone, and be comfortable stepping in front of a camera to teach others. Communicate in a professional manner between technical and non-technical co-workers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble devices as required
- Program our Plug and Play Packages (digital radios and hotspots)
- Program our repeater systems
- Assist other Technicians. Answer Tech questions for Sales and Office staff
- Take tech support calls from customers who need help or run into trouble
- Communicate with Sales and Customer Support Staff
- Support Shipping as needed to improve product turnaround
- Assist with technical customer service as needed
- Appear on camera to help create how-to videos for customers
- Commit to daily training
Results
- Expect to learn all the device configurations
- Expect to maintain efficient and high-volume throughput, with completion as required in a timely fashion
- Assist customers in their understanding and provide information as needed
- Be upbeat and work as a team
Requirements
- High levels of technical and electrical aptitude
- Demonstrate competency with basic Mechanical & Electrical skills
- High dexterity with hand tools and strong attention to detail
- Able to proficiently use a Windows PC
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Comfortable being on camera and teaching people through video
- Personality to deal with customers and coworkers while maintaining a great attitude and teamwork
- Willingness and follow-through to advance individual and company goals as a team and to resolve issues as encountered
- Have a positive attitude
- Willing to get your Ham Radio License
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Bonus Points
- Engineering degree or experience
- LMR (land mobile radio) experience
- Desire to learn, advance, and grow into an engineering position
- Already have your Ham Radio License

Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with a 1-hour lunch
Pay: will depend on experience, $45k to $55k per year
