Job Summary
Are you an educator who loves teaching but needs your afternoons (or mornings) free? Join our brand-new, premium preschool in the heart of historic Hilton Village! We are looking for energetic, professional teachers to provide high-quality care in a streamlined environment.
Crucially, our curriculum is fully developed and provided for you. Your main responsibility will be to bring that curriculum to life by actively engaging with the children during instructional hours, fostering a love of learning through interactive play and positive guidance.
Responsibilities
- Focus on Instruction and Engagement: Utilize the pre-developed curriculum to lead creative, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Active Child Interaction: Spend the majority of instructional time working directly with children to implement lesson plans and facilitate hands-on learning.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with all licensing regulations.
- Provide positive guidance and redirection to children, fostering a supportive classroom community.
- Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of children's development and maintain accurate records.
- Establish and maintain open, positive communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
- Manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap time, and transitions.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions (scheduled during the four working days).
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or childcare is highly desirable.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs and promotes child welfare. Join us to make a lasting difference in young lives while enjoying the benefits of a dynamic work schedule designed for work-life balance!
