MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Powder coat products
- Maintain quality and integrity of the products by following established quality standards and guidelines
- Keep powder spraying equipment properly maintained. Be proactive to maintain quality standards and eliminate opportunities for waste
- Interact and communicate positively with team members and management
- Assist management with problem detection, problem solving, and ways to increase productivity
- Other duties as assigned
FUNCTIONS PERFORMED IN FULFILLING MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make Line Leader/Management aware of any product-related issues or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in and around the paint booth
- Maintain a quick, efficient pace throughout the shift
- Keep equipment in working order and report equipment issues immediately to maintenance
- Provide feedback on rack plans, line speeds, etc. Make the process better
- Eliminate waste with product/scrap, process, and effort
- Be willing to assist in various work areas
- Keep an open mind in regards to new procedures, assignments, criticism, etc.
- Assist with training new team members as requested
- Be proactive in detecting problems and solve problems before they result in excessive fallout and lost productivity
Employee Requirements:
- Experience with powder application equipment is a must. Auto-booth experience is preffered.
- High school diploma/equivalent or relevant work experience with a desire for continuing education
- Must prioritize teamwork and helping to achieve team/business goals
- Ability to work independently to achieve desired results. Self-directed
- Must be able to focus and stay on task throughout shift
- Learn quickly and retain information effectively
- Exceptional problem solving capabilities
- Ability to train adults using varied training methods
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact and respond to line leaders and management
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
- Minimum of six months prior experience working on a line
- Must be able to remain standing/on feet throughout shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance if needed
- Ability to bend and twist
- Ability to repetitively lift and extend above shoulder level
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
