Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and documenting symptoms accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Perform clinical tasks such as immunization, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) in accordance with safety protocols.
- Support physicians and healthcare providers with medical documentation.
- Manage medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating referrals and others.
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to administered vaccines (preferible), medication administration, and vital signs measurement.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and electronic health records management.
- Experience working in fast-paced outpatient clinics or inpatient hospital settings with exposure to emergency medicine or trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certifications if necessary.
- Comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents
- Friendly, patient, and caring attitude with children and families
- Fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
