POSITION:
The Billings Mustangs are a member of the Pioneer Baseball League, an MLB Professional Partner League. The Mustangs are the premier team in the PBL with 15 Championships, and they play at Dehler Park in Billings, Montana. Billings is the largest city in Montana with more than 122,000 residents and is located in the south-central part of the state along the Yellowstone River.
The Mustangs are looking to hire an Assistant General Manager (AGM) with at least four years of professional sports experience. Our AGM will be tasked with helping run the day-to-day operations of the team and overseeing the organization’s sales efforts. Our new AGM will be a key part of the executive team leading the Mustangs’ front office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Increase revenue through ticket sales and corporate partnerships
Manage ticket sales, employees, and systems
Communicate with clients
Coordinate with multiple departments for execution of client needs
Ensure that customer service and experience are top priorities
Encourage and instill top level customer service in employees
Coordinate with Director of Finance on revenue reporting in managed departments
Conduct sales and marketing meetings and meet with sales staff on a one-on-one basis
Develop marketing and sales strategies for hospitality and game day tickets
Learn the strengths & weaknesses of each sales representative, and guide them
Track weekly, monthly, & annual sales
Ensure our ballpark is clean and ready for all home games and special events
Oversee ballpark operations department’s full-time staff, projects, and workflow
Assist with ballpark operations department functions as required, including installation of ballpark signage and schedule part-time work for game-day employees
Other Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist General Manager with team-related operations
- Oversee non-baseball events in relation to staff scheduling and execution
- Oversee the internship and host family program
- Represent organization at community and business events
- Assist other staff members with projects and/or event operations, including tarp pulls
- Assist in sales and execution of field rental events and other non-baseball events
- Oversee the execution of sales-related functions of food & beverage
Technology Skills:
- Google Workspace or Office Suite-Microsoft Office
- Glitnir Ticketing & CRM System or similar software
- Knowledge of Square Point of Sale or similar POS system
Other Skills:
- Multi-tasking and have flexibility in terms of daily schedule
