Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Sitter/CNA to join our dedicated care team. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; report changes promptly
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility
- Maintain detailed care plans, document patient observations, and communicate effectively with team members and family members
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in social activities and conversation
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to support residents effectively
- Certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or equivalent is required; CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and compliance in all aspects of patient care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks; experience with patient transfer methods is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays demonstrates your versatility in caregiving roles
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures ensures safe delivery of prescribed treatments
