Duties
- Perform tire services including mounting, balancing, rotation, and replacement to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety.
- Conduct oil changes and automotive fluid replacements such as coolant, transmission fluid, and brake fluid to maintain vehicle performance.
- Assist with minor mechanical repairs and diagnostics using hand tools and power tools to identify issues accurately.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks like brake inspections, alignments, and basic mechanical repairs to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Use automotive diagnostic equipment to identify problems and recommend necessary repairs or services.
- Lift heavy components safely during maintenance procedures, adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and offering maintenance recommendations.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive mechanic experience with a solid understanding of vehicle systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of standard passenger cars and familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of automotive fluid replacement procedures, tire service techniques, and basic mechanical repairs.
- Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, alignments, and minor mechanical repairs confidently.
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities to explain technical work effectively.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and the stamina required for active work shifts involving standing, bending, and moving around the shop.
