Responsibilities:
- Perform tree maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, and shaping trees
- Assess tree health and diagnose any diseases or pest infestations
- Remove dead or hazardous branches to ensure safety
- Plant and transplant trees as needed
- Conduct tree risk assessments and provide recommendations for tree care
- Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers, and aerial lifts
- Collaborate with landscape architects and gardeners to create aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and maintenance techniques
- Proficiency in using arboriculture tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of tree biology, including root systems and canopy structure
- Ability to climb trees and work at heights using proper safety techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address tree health issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Good physical stamina and strength to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members
