Job Title: Door-to-Door Canvasser / Lead Generator

We are looking for motivated, outgoing canvassers to help a licensed life insurance agent connect with families in the Fort Worth area.
This is a door-to-door lead-generation role. Canvassers will visit assigned neighborhoods, start conversations with residents, and offer them the opportunity to speak with a licensed life insurance agent about receiving a life insurance quote.
This is not an insurance sales position. Canvassers are not expected or permitted to sell insurance at the door. Insurance quotes, policy recommendations, applications, and sales conversations will be handled only by a licensed insurance professional.
This opportunity is a good fit for someone who is confident talking to people, comfortable walking neighborhoods, and interested in performance-based earning potential.
What You’ll Do
- Visit assigned Fort Worth neighborhoods for door-to-door outreach
- Speak with residents in a friendly, respectful, and professional way
- Collect basic contact information from interested residents
- Help connect interested residents with the licensed agent
- Track conversations, leads, and basic follow-up details
- Communicate with the field manager and licensed agent during canvassing hours
- Follow approved scripts, training, and compliance guidelines
- Represent the business professionally at all times
Pay Structure
This is a performance-based 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Contractors are paid per qualified lead generated.
Contractor Requirements
Before beginning door-to-door canvassing, selected contractors must be able to meet all city and company requirements, including:
- Have a current, valid government-issued driver’s license or ID card
- Have reliable transportation to assigned canvassing areas
- Be willing to provide vehicle information if required for city registration
- Be willing to complete any required City of Fort Worth door-to-door registration before beginning field work
- Be available for required training before canvassing begins
- Be comfortable working outdoors and walking neighborhoods door-to-door
- Be comfortable with performance-based compensation paid per qualified lead
- Be able to follow approved scripts, compliance guidelines, and local canvassing rules
- Understand this is a lead-generation role only and not an insurance sales role
- Communicate professionally with residents, the field manager, and the licensed agent
Training Provided
Selected canvassers will receive training before beginning field work. Training may include:
- Door-to-door conversation script
- What canvassers can and cannot say
- How to handle common objections
- How to identify and submit a qualified lead
- How to track daily activity and lead details
- Local canvassing expectations and professionalism standards

- Professional in appearance and communication
- Organized enough to track leads accurately
- Comfortable using a phone for messaging, calls, and lead submission
- Able to work independently while still communicating with the team
Previous experience in canvassing, sales, customer service, appointment setting, lead generation, or community outreach is helpful but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Schedule
This opportunity may be part-time or full-time depending on availability. Canvassing schedules will be coordinated with the field manager and licensed agent.
Local Registration Notice
Door-to-door canvassing may require registration with the City of Fort Worth before field work begins. Selected contractors must be willing and able to complete any required registration process and follow all local rules, including respecting “No Soliciting” and “No Trespassing” signs.
No canvassing may begin until all required training, registration, and approval steps are complete.
