Lead Diesel MechanicJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic with advanced knowledge of crane and crawler equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of diesel mechanic experience, with strong diagnostic and repair skills in hydraulics, diesel engines, and heavy equipment. This role requires the ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and perform both shop and field service repairs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service trucks, cranes, crawlers, and heavy equipment.
- Perform inspections, operational testing, and preventive maintenance.
- Independently create accurate repair estimates and work orders, with occasional assistance from the operations.
- Respond to emergency field service calls and equipment breakdowns.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members while demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Experience performing diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Dependable, organized, and committed to producing quality workmanship.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing:
- Concrete pumps
- Cranes and crawler equipment
- Medium-duty fleet trucks and pickup trucks
- Over-the-road diesel trucks
- Heavy construction equipment
- Hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and engine systems
Preferred Certifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
