Central Business Office - Accounts Payable Supervisor
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee an accounts payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, and manage expense accounts and budget reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, with one year of experience in an accounting office; OR five (5) years of accounting experience.
M anagerial or supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of accounting systems, principles, and practices. Skill in the use of personal computers and related accounting software applications. Skill in the use of mathematics. Interpersonal skills. Management skills. Ability to analyze data and/or information. Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the accounts payable operations of an assigned area or unit; recommends methods to improve operational efficiency.
- Supervises employees to include work allocation, training, evaluation, and problem resolution.
- Review invoices in work queues to make insure timely payment.
- Work with suppliers, receiving and purchasing to resolve issues before invoices are due including over shipments, short shipments and unauthorized goods
- Work with Director and Managers to track and implement processes so invoices are paid in a timely manner.
