Overview
Join our dynamic team at PSI as an Engineering Technician and play a vital role in supporting a bulk material mechanical sampling system manufacturer. Must have the ability to interface and communicate with customers, and coordinate tasks associated with vendors, manufactures, and logistics companies. Duties
- Assist in preparing and reviewing construction plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD 2D/3D software.
- Support project scheduling and Engineering management activities by tracking progress, updating timelines, and coordinating resources.
- Conduct field surveying and land surveying activities to gather accurate data for project design and implementation.
- Perform construction inspection to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate construction execution and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to Purchasing, bidding quotes, shipping/tracking, material costing, filing, operations & maintenance procedures.
- Must Be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Knowledge of Steel erection, welding procedures, blueprint reading, and Hands on assembly when needed.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in 2D/3D software such as Solid works, & Auto CAD.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project scheduling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with construction plans, technical drawings, schematics, and construction specifications.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply engineering principles effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to infrastructure components; capability to understand construction drawings related to mechanical systems is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports, documentation, and inspection logs.
- Proficiency in Windows based operating systems including Word, Excel, and Outlook for data analysis, report writing, and project documentation.
- Strong math skills essential for drafting calculations and interpreting technical data; attention to detail is critical for ensuring accuracy in all tasks. Job Type: Full Time
Expected Hours: 40-45 hrs per week
Must be able to pass a drug screen and have a valid Drivers License.
The Candidate must have a high school diploma. An associate degree, vocational certificate, electrical license, or hydraulic training is a plus. In Lieu of formal training, PSI will consider applicable work experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
Pay: $22.37 - $30.55 per hour
