We are seeking a dedicated and passionate MS/HS Math and Science educator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and science, with the ability to engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving through innovative teaching methods. Duties
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for math and science subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Life Science, and Biology .
- Conduct engaging laboratory experiments that enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that encourage student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices for teaching math and science.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Life Science, and Biology
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for middle school and high school students.
- Proven ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity and exploration in math and science.
- Experience conducting research or involvement in educational projects is preferred.
