We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused individual with a strong sales background to join our team as a Bank Sales Associate.
Summary. This position will actively engage with customers to understand their financial needs, promote banking products and provide exceptional service that builds the Bank’s presence in the communities served through prospecting and enhancing business relationships.
Essential Functions.
- Greet customers and identify their banking needs through attentive listening and effective questioning.
- Ensure customer service is conducted according to the Bank’s service excellence standards.
- Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective customers within assigned markets.
- Conducts cold calls, customer calls, and participate in activities that will source deposit and loan opportunities for the bank.
- Promote and upsell banking products such as business and commercial deposits, credit cards, cash management, loan referrals, etc.
- Work with various departments to meet customer financial goals.
- Participate in the business plan development, to include but not limited to sales goals and strategies to ensure maximum profitability and effectiveness for assigned markets.
- Proactively represents the Bank in the communities through professional involvement.
Additional Responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements.
- Regular travel is required within multiple assigned markets.
- Travel for training purposes.
Required Skills and Training.
- Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.
- Knowledge of Bank Products, Services and Policies.
- Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
- Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation.
- Successful completion of online training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.
- Have knowledge and abide by Bank Secrecy Act Laws and regulations.
Education and Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Sales and business development experience required.
Physical Requirements.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle.
