Position Overview
The & Program Development Specialist is a coaching-driven role responsible for delivering high-level training while actively building and growing small group training programs. This individual will coach youth athletes and adults daily, while also driving enrollment through outreach, relationship building, and program promotion.
This role blends elite coaching and sport-specific expertise to create a high-energy, results-driven training environment.
Primary Responsibilities1. Coaching & Session Leadership (Core Responsibility)
- Lead small group training sessions (10–12 athletes per group)
- Deliver structured sessions focused on strength, speed, agility, and conditioning
- Provide high-level coaching cues, corrections, and motivation
- Adapt sessions to meet varying skill levels within groups
- Ensure every session is organized, energetic, and results-driven
2. Sport-Specific Training
- Deliver specialized training in one or more of the following:
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Pickleball
- Soccer
- Track & Field
- Integrate sport-specific skill work with performance training
- Develop position-specific and movement-based training approaches
- Run sport-specific clinics, camps, and seasonal programs
3. Marketing & Athlete Recruitment
- Actively recruit athletes and clients into training programs
- Build relationships with local schools, coaches, clubs, and community organizations
- Promote programs through social media, events, and direct outreach
- Generate leads and convert them into enrolled athletes
4. Enrollment & Program Growth
- Conduct athlete assessments and onboarding sessions
- Recommend appropriate training programs and group placements
- Drive enrollment into small group training (10–12 per group)
- Maintain high retention through strong relationships and visible results
- Help grow program capacity and fill training groups consistently
5. Program Development
- Assist in structuring small group training systems and schedules
- Help design sport-specific and seasonal programming
- Provide feedback on program effectiveness and athlete outcomes
- Support the creation of camps, clinics, and specialty programs
6. Culture & Client Experience
- Create a high-energy, professional training environment
- Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, and adult clients
- Serve as a leader on the floor and role model for other coaches
- Foster a culture of accountability, effort, and improvement
Qualifications
- Strong coaching background in strength & conditioning and/or sport-specific training
- Experience in at least one key sport (basketball, volleyball, soccer, track, etc.)
- Proven ability to build relationships and attract athletes/clients
- Sales, recruiting, or program-building experience strongly preferred
- CSCS or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)

Compensation Plan: Lead Performance Coach & Program Development Specialist
1. Monthly Stipend (Base Stability)
- $500 per month
- Compensates for:
- Relationship building (schools, clubs, parents)
- Administrative responsibilities
- Program development support
2. Small Group Training Compensation (Core Earnings)
Per Session Pay:
- $60 per session (base rate)
- + $5 per athlete per session
Example Earnings Per Session:
- 8 athletes → $60 + $40 = $100
- 10 athletes → $60 + $50 = $110
- 12 athletes → $60 + $60 = $120
3. Monthly Earning Potential Example
Assuming:
- 4 sessions per day
- 5 days per week
- 4 weeks per month
- Average of 10 athletes per group
Session Pay:
- $110 per session × 80 sessions = $8,800
