Accounts Payable Clerk
Local Construction Company | $22–$25 per Hour | 30 Hours/Week | Potential for Full-Time
A well-established local construction company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our office team.
This position is approximately 30 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase to 40 hours per week for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail who takes pride in accurate, organized work.
Responsibilities
- Process, code, and enter vendor invoices
- Verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation
- Process vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payments
- Assist with bookkeeping and general accounting duties
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Qualifications
- Previous accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Professional communication skills
- Construction or contractor accounting experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $22–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
