POSITION: Elementary Teacher-5th grade
LOCATION: Pine Avenue Elementary School
REPORTS TO: Dr. Kathy Konowalow, Pine Avenue Principal
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education
Elementary Certification K-8
Meet requirements for background check and fingerprinting
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
A successful candidate will possess:
- Successful experience working with elementary-age students
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of content expectations/standards pertinent to the grade level
- Experience working as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge of the MTSS model to support students academically and behaviorally
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings
- Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
- Contribute to a professional learning team
- Use effective classroom management strategies
