Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for organization and a commitment to quality? As a Shipping Assistant, you will be a vital link in our supply chain, ensuring that every product leaving our facility reaches our customers accurately and in perfect condition. We are looking for a proactive team player who can manage complex documentation, oversee loading operations, and help us maintain our high standards of safety and ISO-certified quality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Review orders and shipping notices to set priorities and determine the best transport methods.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain essential shipping records, including bills of lading, labels, and inventory logs.
Logistics Coordination: Direct the movement of goods from the dock to storage and plan the layout of outbound loads.
Equipment Care: Perform routine safety checks on material handling equipment and report maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to legibly write and accurately complete complex shipping forms and documents.
Strong multi-tasking abilities across all areas of warehouse and shipping operations.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve work-related problems in a timely, efficient manner.
Excellent communication skills for providing feedback to management and directing team activities.
Commitment to maintaining regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to understand and adhere to technical work instructions and quality management protocols.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
